When I do a complete financial checkup with clients, drawing up a will usually comes up. It can be hard to find a lawyer that meets your needs and budget. A client of mine suggested this tip for those of you short on cash but need a will.
"An individual may obtain a consultation with a lawyer specializing in any area for $25 by contacting the New York State Bar Association. She found three laywers this way: divorce lawyer, landlord-tenant lawyer and trademark attorney."
If your affairs are simple, you can do it yourself via a kit from www.nolo.com or Staples and get it notarized so it is a legal document.
