Financial Calm in Turbulent Times

How are you feeling this week? Before I move on to the more serious stuff, my favorite tips for looking good on Zoom can be found here.

We already have a great group signed up for: Woman's Compass: The Course: a 3-month online program for Personal Finance, Legal and Self Care. Live webinars, to-do lists, templates, check-ins and more. Starts May 5!

I’m hearing from my clients that they want to get back to work! Lots of helpful information can be found below - changing every week!

PPP for Self-Employed This Friday 4/10 is the opening date. You have to do it through your bank. It can be time-consuming. If it doesn’t work with your bank, there are a few other banks that are making themselves available such as: Kabbage, NorthOne, and Ready Capital. More information. Asset Allocation Really Matters I know I keep saying this, but it keeps proving itself over and over. This article helped me with the scientific approach but also this quote: “You’ve got to find a way to get comfortable.” If selling a portion now or moving funds around makes you feel more comfortable, then let’s do it! More Information.

Don’t Do This Alone Whether it’s in one of my group workshops or talking to individual clients, people are feeling better not going through these financial worries alone. Plus it helps us face the numbers and come up with a plan.

This is one of the reasons we came up with Woman’s Compass: The Course. We heard from many of you that you wanted accountability and community.

Comb Through Your Statements

You might have extra time at home now. Check for recurring fees, services you aren’t using anymore. Question your subscriptions and memberships. Great article (even if few years old on unlocking cash).

Student Loans

Most federal student loans automatically qualify for 0% interest, no interest accrual, and no payments until 9/30. If you do pay them sooner, the principal will go down faster. If yours don’t, contact your lender and apply for a deferment or consolidate them.
