This is not the time to put your career ambitions on hold. Get out there. Attend networking meetings in your industry or personal organizations. Check in with colleagues and friends and have lots of coffees (you don't have to have the latte!). If you are in a relationship, support your partner's career as well as your own. Insist they keep up their networking or continuing education courses.
You never know when you will need to really rely on your network so touch base with them before it becomes a necessity. Plus, it is a great way to truly gauge what is happening in the market versus the barrage of news we get from TV.
